Here you go Aunt Melissa. Finally the running pictures!

Christopher and I went to the track Saturday morning and since we were in our running gear we decided Addison should be too. Christopher tried to tell me that I was silly for rolling up her sweat pants, I had to expain to him that this is the trend right now. It was also the first time for her to wear her Nike's, yes they're still WAY to big, but she had to have her running shoes!

I mean really, how cute is she!!

We got some sunglasses at Target the other day. (Jaymie, they have yellow, red and royal blue, I think Kanyon would be so cool in them!) Then we decided we also needed to break out the hat since she likes her daddy's so much!

Yes, I realize that she looks sort of like a bug and sort of like she has goggles on, but she likes them! She'll just go on playing even though everything is dark!

Going for a drive with her car in her new shades!

Happy Valentine's Day
Thanks Aunt Mary for the bib!

So Addison decided to bring back the 80's. After vigorous playing on the floor, this is how I found her. Side bow, I'm sure it would have been a side pony tail if she had hair, and shirt off the shoulder!

Messages from Addison

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HONEY!!!
Wish that I could see you on your birthday, but I know that I will soon enough! I love you!!
Great Uncle Scott - I heard from my Nonna that you are a faithful blog reader to see what I am up to. How come you never leave me messages? Just so you know all your Cowboy stuff comes in very handy. I play on the blanket almost everyday, the bottle stores extra milk, the bib keeps my shirt clean when I'm eating and the nightlight makes my room not so scary at night!

I can't believe that Addison is 5 months old! We had to have a little photo shoot on her birthday and I'm pretty excited about how they look!

Cute picture of Mallory and Addison Friday night!

Sunday after our nap, 2.5 hours, we went out to the Porters land in Hallsville. It was fun since it was so nice outside!

Mark and Chris on the way to the pond with their babies!

I really don't think that we have that many family pictures, here is one of the few.

Somehow a few of my favorite photo shoot pictures got deleted off of this and blogger won't let me add them back... I'll try later!

What do we do?

Since January I only work 2 days a week at the office and try to get in a few more hours from home! I love it! I get to stay home with my baby 5 days a week. I love to watch her learn and figure things out. So what do we do all day?

We look at our friend Cohen! Everyday we walk to the refrigerator and I ask Addison "want to see your boyfriend Cohen?" Then she will stare at the picture for a while and touch his face, sometimes she leans in for a kiss! I'm serious we really do this everyday! We keep the picture at eye level so that she can easily see him! I just don't want her to forget him. Cohen is really the only boy that I always refer to as her boyfriend, since he's exactally a week older than her and they love each other so much (see post "Love at First Sight!") So, Cassy, I think we need a new picture to look at!

Helping mommy cook dinner! She likes to play with the spoons, chew on them and make them move around and clink together. She doesn't like it when she tips it over, her face is funny when it makes a super loud noise.

She's learning to read food labels! Not really... I left the brown sugar out on the cabinet after my oatmeal and she liked trying to pick it up.

This just makes me laugh! She loves to use her feet for everything! Picking up toys, moving the ducks in the bathtub, etc. But when she's in her highchair she likes to put her feet on the bottom of the tray!

She helps me wash bottles! She just discovered how much noise she can make pulling all the bottles off the drying rack. This was the first time that she was able to pull one off, doesn't she look so proud of herself!

She helps me fold laundry!

This was my attempt the other day at keeping her from watching TV. IT worked really well!

Just a cute picture of her sitting up!

Another cute picture from Sunday after church. Since my mom doesn't get to see her as often anymore I like to take pictures of her when she wears outfits that my mom gave her. This was the best one that came out of this bunch, even though you can't see the dress.

She loves to grab faces, which is okay as long as her fingernails are short! She talks while she is trying to figure out what all the parts of our faces are.

This was Sunday afternoon. I came home from a baby shower and she was out. So I thought that it would be a good chance to paint her toenails. Well, she woke up after the left foot. So I attempted to paint the right foot with her awake! As you can see, she was very interested in what I was doing. Right foot is a little messy, but pink toenails are SUPER cute on a 5 month old baby!

I wanted to give a shout out to Liz and Irish! I was so excited that you left a comment yesterday! I just started smiling and I could hear Irish saying "tell her that we like her baby!" Man, I so wish that I could have been at your wedding! I miss you guys!

Anyone else read the blog that never leaves posts a comment? I'll list peole that I know that read and have at some point posted comments:

Too long... (since posting and this blog)

So I've been a little slow posting...

This is my favorite new picture! Oh yeah, don't think that I put that scratch on her head, I just kept forgetting to cut her fingernails. OOps, they are short now!

At my shower at the hospital Donna said that every baby needs their first soccer ball! Donna, she loves it! She'll kick it around with her feet, if I throw it to her and let it hit her belly she giggles and when she starts to get hungry she tries to eat it! Who would have thought that it a little soccer ball could do so much!

We had our 4 month check up last week. She wasn't too interested in anything except the paper!!

Cousin Tara is sooo mean. Addison actually cried real tears this time :( When I started to get the camera out Tara said "Is she really going to take pictures of this?" Of course, why wouldn't I?
WE LOVE SQUASH!!
"Mom, if you take one more picture of me, so help me I'll...."

Don't you just love little outfits that make them look so big!
"I will not go to sleep, I will not go to sleep, I will not go to sleep!"
We had to take pictures when it was snowing outside. I thought that if I took them on the front porch with the black door behind her you would be able to see the snow, not so much! She like the cold though! Just smiled and laughed, never cried!
MLK weekend I went on our annual girls trip. It was fun! How cute is Mary's belly!! I did leave Addison with Christopher all weekend. I was gone a total of about 2 days. I only cried 2 times before I left, not too bad right?
This was the last time in her little blue bathtub. I wasn't too sad to put this in the closet since the new one is sooo cute!
Love the new big duck bathtub! Thanks Kelsey and Bruce and Katy! She seems as though she is getting a little personality and is enjoying being girly! Doesn't she look like she is enjoying her bubble bath!
Speaking of being girly, the other night Christopher went in to check on Addison and came out laughing so hard. I mean, doesn't she just looked so relaxed? Maybe she's dreaming that she laying out on the beach somewhere!
This is her new smile. She use to look like a turtle... now a she's a frog! It cracks us up everytime she does it! It's not our favorite face, but how can you not smile when you see this goofy little grin. She likes to flash it all the time to make sure you know just how cute she is!!
She likes to talk to her dad on the phone. She started giving her froggy smile when she hears his voice on the phone!

Well, that's all for now. I'll try not to wait so long the next time! O, I forgot the newest thing that I can't get a picture of... Addison has her first tooth! Yes, that's right, crazy at 4 1/2 months, but it's there! Our denists dental assistant even went ahead and gave us a baby tooth brush. It's never too early to start brushing she said!

Random Things since Christmas

Here are several things that we have been up to since Christmas...

I was holding her in the recliner and looked down and this is how she was positioned. I got Christopher's attention to get the camera (I didn't want her to move). I mean how funny is this!! Craig, even though she hasn't seen you, there's no other explanation then she learning how to "relax" like this from you!!
When it was cold last week she had on her jacket with a hood. It looked so funny I had to take a picture!
She still loves her Cabbage Patch doll.
Okay, I have to explain... Christopher and I have noticed that our guest bathroom smells terribly of pee. The only thing that we can think of is that Addison pees in the bathtub every time. With boys you know when they peed in the bathtub, but girls, not so much! So last week I decided to set her on the potty every time before she got into the bathtub to see if she would pee. IT WORKED! In no way am I trying to potty train her! Sometimes is takes longer than others for her to pee. This picture was from last night, it took about 2 minutes of her sitting there before she peed. Christopher thinks that it is the funniest thing in the world. He is laughing so hard in this picture. If you look carefully you can see the water rippling from her peeing!!
We finally got our highchair from our shower. (long story, but thanks Chisolm for finally getting it here!) It makes her eating cereal so much better. She's quite good at eating cereal!
Yes, there is a baby under there. This is how she sleeps now. She pulls her blanket over her face. The first time I saw it I thought that someone had taken her (when I wake up I'm a little confused) but when I moved her blanket she almost woke up so I put it back. I didn't want to wake a sleeping baby!
A few weekends ago my good friend Tony Strickland drove from Callisburg to see Addison! He never had a little girl, just 4 boys, so I know he loved his cuddle time with her!
She was a little upset when he was leaving. It was nap time 2 hours before, but she was so excited that Tony was coming that she couldn't sleep!
Amy, really, what are you doing? Anyone ever played "would you rather?" It's quite fun, has it's little twists (as you can tell by Amy lapping up the water!!)
Loving that tummy time! Everything goes into her mouth now be careful what you put close to her!

So there you have it. I finally updated the blog! If you haven't already, look at the Christmas pictures below...
