Last weekend

This past weekend, Oct. 18, Addison stayed a few nights with Chris's parents. There were lots of pictures, but this one makes me laugh when I look at it... she loves to play in the dishwasher!! (and don't you LOVE the pj's, I was so excited when I found her these halloween pajamas.)

Last Saturday night was ACA's fall fest. A few of the kids were football players and cheerleaders so we tried to take a picture... this was the best one I got. From left to right: Grayson, Blake, Cole and Addison. Mallory was an A&M cheerleader but she didn't want to take a picture.
There weren't just a ton of games for Addison's age, but she had a few favorites....

Right after she got this duck out, she reach in for another so far that she almost fell in. I was laughing so hard.
This was her favorite... she dug and dug in the paper, and pulled out all the coins she could find, there was candy and other things in there but all she cared about was the coins.

I just thought this was cute. She did figure out that the pumpkin was for all her goodies, and she loved to walk around with it.

This was another one of her favorites, obviously it wasn't really a game but Amanda just let her pick out what she wanted since Addison wasn't really big enough for the pizza toss!
Addison was ready to go and while I was still inside talking Christopher taught her to run up the stairs...

Last Sunday night we went to a corn maize between Longview and Tyler a group from church. This picture cracked me up, Blake and Addison saw a cat... Can you tell how much Addison loves cats. I'm trying to break her of that...

The rest of these are some of my favorite pictures from the night.

Addison was sad that she didn't get to go on the hayride. There wasn't enough room and she wasn't really in the mood to be still, so we took pictures in the corn instead!

A GREAT nights sleep?!?!?!?

First... our internet has been down. Before any other updates I would like to share with you our morning:

4:30 am – awakened by the meanest bark and growl I have ever heard from Chutch. Usually a tap on the window and he stops. So Christopher taps on the window

4:32 am – barking resumes, another tap on the window.

4:34 am – we hear scurrying outside of our bedroom followed by more barking, growling and a little hissing.

4:37 am – Chris goes outside to tell Chutch to be quiet and to see if he can see any little animals running around.

4:40 am – awhh… 3 minutes of quietness…. Then comes the loudest train EVER (we live about a mile from train track) with the loudest horn EVER.

4:42 – 4:51 – repeat the previous sequence of events

4:52 am – another Train, AWESOME… this time Chris and I just laugh

4:55 am – quiet for the last few minutes… CAUGH, CAUGH Addison is now coughing up some of the awesome drainage from getting new teeth. I go in to check on her and cover her back up.

4:58 am – Chutch is now whining… I assume he has killed whatever it was he was chasing and is now sad that he has nothing to play with…

5:05 am – awesome, must have dozed off for a few minutes. Then I hear running, animals against the house followed by very intense barking. Christopher says, “hey, isn’t it almost time for you to get up?” my alarms goes off at 5:20…

5:07 am – a few more knocks on the window then I cover my face with the pillow…

5:20 am – ALARM… SNOOZE

5:30 am – ALARM, lay in bed a listen to barking waiting on Chris’s alarm to go off.

5:40 am – ALARM… I get up.

6:10 am – Chris gets up, goes to see what the deal is with Chutch (he didn’t stop barking this whole time, I think we just tuned it out) finds, nothing, just Chutch barking at nothing, he says "it's like Chutch has a little dog trapped in the fence with the pool pump"

6:40 am – I’m ready, Chris just left for work and ABC is still asleep so I get back in bed and decide to sleep until she wakes up… barking… AMBULANCE… now howling…

7:20 am – ABC wakes up.

7:25 am – notice that the gate to the pool pump is sort of opened so I go out to check on it and it prove to Chutch once and for all that there is nothing out there, whatever he was chasing is now GONE. I say “Chutch there is nothing here, you need to stop…” I see something furry move behind all the pool pipes, I think “It’s weird that a squirrel would stay back here and not try to run.” Oh no… not a squirrel… RACCOON!!! How did a raccoon get into our back yard?

I then run inside and grab the camera, of course, he looks so scared. His little eyes just said “HELP ME!”

7:35 am – Kim, Chris’ mom, arrives and tried to go and prod it out of the pool pump area.. no go, he’s not moving…

9:10 am – animal control arrives. Raccoon is out of the fence, only to escape the pole rope thing and jump into the pool… Animal control guy gets him and puts it in a cage. He assures me that the raccoon will not be killed, he will just be released somewhere else. (Christopher said that he’s sure they were actually going to kill the raccoon.)

10:00 – arrive at work…

It’s been a long day… I’m sure I will be asleep tonight as soon as ABC is!!

Long time no blog...

well, for those of you that are still out there waiting for an update... here you go...

Hurricane Ike: Our neighbor had a tree fall on his house before the big winds even came in. Christopher wasn't going to go over and help until I was watching and our other neighbor, older man, was helping and he slipped on the roof HOLDING HIS CHAINSAW. I told Chris and he jumped up and went to change, he got out of folding towels since he went to help! Funny thing about this, more of a "Okay, thanks God, I get it" moment... the day before I had a super long blog ready to post about this particular neighbor and what I think his occupation is and my thoughts on him, but I decided not to post it. So I'm part of the reason I pushed Christopher to go help was because of my guilty conscience...

We lost electricity for only 24 hours, we stayed the night in Elysian Fields with Christopher's parents. Before we left Christopher decided to play with Addison and her shopping cart. He thought it would be a good idea to put her in it and push her around. Made me nervous, but she loved it and now she tries to climb in it by herself!

The Porter's lost electricity for about 4 or 5 days so 2 nights they stayed with us!! Before bath time one night they jumped on the trampoline... has to be before bath time since it turns everything black. I wanted to get a shot of all of their feet, this was as close as I could get!! We had to do some rearranging, Blake is the only one that had his own room... Addison bunked with us. Blake had Addison's room, Amy and Mallory slept in the guest room and Mark had the couch we were a full house, but it was a fun slumber party time!!
Blake says "Party in Addison's bed!"

I think he changed his mind!

FUNNY FACES FROM THE PAST FEW WEEKS...
"These ravioli's are GREAT!"

I can fly!!
She loves to play with her tongue!

Not real sure what this is...
So I went to College Station for my first Aggie football game. Addison stayed with my mom and later that night my dad cooked steaks. Addison was sitting in my mom's lap while she was eating and decided to just pick up the steak and eat it... she had to have another bath!!

Last weekend we went to Mansfield for Christopher to help his brother put in hard wood floors. Addison, however, went to her first football game! We met my sister at the Everman football game that was only 15 minutes away! Addison has seen football on TV a lot, but never in real life... she wasn't too impressed, her favorite part was the giant dog (the Everman Bulldog mascot). Here she is with Camden watching the last few seconds of the game!

Watching the Cowboy game riding her horse... Like her new Cowboy bow??

I mentioned to Donna, a lady that I work with, that I wanted to try and make fuzzy bows, she said she had a boa that I could have. Well Donna, I haven't made bows yet, but Addison sure likes to play in it!!!

Saturday we went to Western Days in Hallsville! Addison liked watching the band and really anything that went by. It was bright out, can you see her sunglasses... she left them on until I took them off. It cracks me up, she'll leave them on when it's bright out, but the second you get in the car or inside the throws them off!! I guess she's so smart she knows what they are for!!

Here's the other reason we went to Western Days... I've officially sold my first bows!!! A lady that we go to Church with has a website and... longer story than I would like to type... but we found each other and I put some bows in her booth at Western Days and soon to be on her website! I sold about 20 at Western Days! It was a last minute thing, so these were all the ones I made in 2 days...
This one was one of my favorites...
This one went over well in East Texas! I got there at 9:45 and 2 of them were already gone (it started at 9:00)
That's all for now! I'm tired, even though I slept for 12 hours last night... yeah, that's right, I fell asleep while Christopher was putting Addison in bed.
