Too long... (since posting and this blog)

So I've been a little slow posting...

This is my favorite new picture! Oh yeah, don't think that I put that scratch on her head, I just kept forgetting to cut her fingernails. OOps, they are short now!

At my shower at the hospital Donna said that every baby needs their first soccer ball! Donna, she loves it! She'll kick it around with her feet, if I throw it to her and let it hit her belly she giggles and when she starts to get hungry she tries to eat it! Who would have thought that it a little soccer ball could do so much!

We had our 4 month check up last week. She wasn't too interested in anything except the paper!!

Cousin Tara is sooo mean. Addison actually cried real tears this time :( When I started to get the camera out Tara said "Is she really going to take pictures of this?" Of course, why wouldn't I?
WE LOVE SQUASH!!
"Mom, if you take one more picture of me, so help me I'll...."

Don't you just love little outfits that make them look so big!
"I will not go to sleep, I will not go to sleep, I will not go to sleep!"
We had to take pictures when it was snowing outside. I thought that if I took them on the front porch with the black door behind her you would be able to see the snow, not so much! She like the cold though! Just smiled and laughed, never cried!
MLK weekend I went on our annual girls trip. It was fun! How cute is Mary's belly!! I did leave Addison with Christopher all weekend. I was gone a total of about 2 days. I only cried 2 times before I left, not too bad right?
This was the last time in her little blue bathtub. I wasn't too sad to put this in the closet since the new one is sooo cute!
Love the new big duck bathtub! Thanks Kelsey and Bruce and Katy! She seems as though she is getting a little personality and is enjoying being girly! Doesn't she look like she is enjoying her bubble bath!
Speaking of being girly, the other night Christopher went in to check on Addison and came out laughing so hard. I mean, doesn't she just looked so relaxed? Maybe she's dreaming that she laying out on the beach somewhere!
This is her new smile. She use to look like a turtle... now a she's a frog! It cracks us up everytime she does it! It's not our favorite face, but how can you not smile when you see this goofy little grin. She likes to flash it all the time to make sure you know just how cute she is!!
She likes to talk to her dad on the phone. She started giving her froggy smile when she hears his voice on the phone!

Well, that's all for now. I'll try not to wait so long the next time! O, I forgot the newest thing that I can't get a picture of... Addison has her first tooth! Yes, that's right, crazy at 4 1/2 months, but it's there! Our denists dental assistant even went ahead and gave us a baby tooth brush. It's never too early to start brushing she said!

Random Things since Christmas

Here are several things that we have been up to since Christmas...

I was holding her in the recliner and looked down and this is how she was positioned. I got Christopher's attention to get the camera (I didn't want her to move). I mean how funny is this!! Craig, even though she hasn't seen you, there's no other explanation then she learning how to "relax" like this from you!!
When it was cold last week she had on her jacket with a hood. It looked so funny I had to take a picture!
She still loves her Cabbage Patch doll.
Okay, I have to explain... Christopher and I have noticed that our guest bathroom smells terribly of pee. The only thing that we can think of is that Addison pees in the bathtub every time. With boys you know when they peed in the bathtub, but girls, not so much! So last week I decided to set her on the potty every time before she got into the bathtub to see if she would pee. IT WORKED! In no way am I trying to potty train her! Sometimes is takes longer than others for her to pee. This picture was from last night, it took about 2 minutes of her sitting there before she peed. Christopher thinks that it is the funniest thing in the world. He is laughing so hard in this picture. If you look carefully you can see the water rippling from her peeing!!
We finally got our highchair from our shower. (long story, but thanks Chisolm for finally getting it here!) It makes her eating cereal so much better. She's quite good at eating cereal!
Yes, there is a baby under there. This is how she sleeps now. She pulls her blanket over her face. The first time I saw it I thought that someone had taken her (when I wake up I'm a little confused) but when I moved her blanket she almost woke up so I put it back. I didn't want to wake a sleeping baby!
A few weekends ago my good friend Tony Strickland drove from Callisburg to see Addison! He never had a little girl, just 4 boys, so I know he loved his cuddle time with her!
She was a little upset when he was leaving. It was nap time 2 hours before, but she was so excited that Tony was coming that she couldn't sleep!
Amy, really, what are you doing? Anyone ever played "would you rather?" It's quite fun, has it's little twists (as you can tell by Amy lapping up the water!!)
Loving that tummy time! Everything goes into her mouth now be careful what you put close to her!

So there you have it. I finally updated the blog! If you haven't already, look at the Christmas pictures below...

Christmas - yeah it's late...

These are the Christmas cards that I never sent out...
Hanging out with Aunt Melissa on Christmas morning.

Uncle Mark was helping her open her present from her great-grand parents. She loved opening presents, especially if they had shiny wrapping paper.
4 generations! I forgot to take this picture last time we were all together!
Great-Papa, she loves him, can't you tell!
All the picture are in reverse order. This was before Christmas. I think she's like her daddy and gets super excited about Christmas. She was trying to open a present early!

We had Christmas at Christophers parents the weekend before Christmas. Grandad was trying to help her open one of her presents, she LOVED pulling out tissue paper!
Addison with Christmas (the dog) on Christmas!
She also liked wearing Uncle Marks hat! She thought that she was such a big girl!!
Christopher and I searched high and low to find this cabbage patch! (Thanks Jill and Donna for the Walgreens tip) She really likes to look and talk to other babies so I thought she would love a cabbage patch doll, can you tell she was excited!!

More pictures to come on what we've been up to since Christmas!

Love at first sight!

This past weekend we went to Arlington to help Christopher's brother, Kallen, move into his house. After that we met Chad and Cassy at The Branch for church then stayed the night with them. Chad and Cassy were married a week after me and Chris. Cassy and I were due a week apart, me Sept. 3 and her Sept. 10, and we ended up having the babies a week apart, her Sept. 1 and me Sept. 8. So we've been waiting for Addison and Cohen to meet! I'll admit, we've been talking him up a little to Addison. I wish that I had a picture of when they first met, it was too cute! They just smiled, stared and talked to each other! They even leaned in for their first kiss but Cassy and I thought that it was a little too early for that! Of course we took a lot of pictures. I think that Cassy got some better shots than I did, but here they are.

Chris and Chad wondered how many pictures were going to be taken when we started out when we left the church. But, how cute are they one with a pink blanket and one with a blue blanket!

Sort of a funny picture, Cohen has a triple chin and Addison has AlfAlfa hair! I thinks it's pretty cute!!

We new that they would probably be competitive but we didn't think it would start this early. Addison does not look happy that he is a little ahead of her...

Chad and I put them down on the floor to see if they were the same height and they decided to practice for their first dance! Seriously, we didn't place their arms like that, they did it themselves.

FUNNY STORY...

So Addison occasionally likes to blow it out the back of her diaper. When this happens we double duty it to keep all the poo from getting in her hair... while I was unsnapping her I could tell that Chris was moving her around, he started laughing and this is what I found...

Yes, she's hanging on a hanger. What can I say, she's born to be a gymnast!

I like this picture, she looks so proud that she can hold herself up.

Photo Shoot!!

Addison and I decided to have a little photo shoot while Christopher was at work this morning! The first two are my favorites, the others I thought were cute!

And we had to call it a day... can you tell she got hungry?

So here's what's been going on with us... In pictures of course!

This is how we find Addison now when she wakes up from a nap. She loves pushing up on her elbows/hands and looking around to see where she is. This is soon followed by her rolling to her back. She's getting very close to rolling back over to her stomach, it's funny to watch her try to use all her little muscles that she knows to try to get back over.

For the past 3 Christmas's I've wanted Christopher to put lights on the house. His excuse has always been he needed a ladder and we would have to go and buy lights. So, last year after Christmas I bought a lot of lights on sale and he got a ladder from my mom for his birthday! Therefore, here he is, doing something that he really dislikes. I also think that he feels as though he has to put up lights now that he's a dad!

Sunday at church was baby dedication (pictures to come). When we got home I thought that Addison looked so cute we would try to have a mini photo shoot. It didn't go as well as I had hoped, but I thought that this one turned out pretty cute!

Since she is holding herself up so well I thought that I would try putting her in front of the mirror again. I've done this before but it didn't hold her attention that well. Now, anytime I do it she just stares at herself. She thinks that she is pretty cute!!

Chutch likes to find the gofers in our yard. When he finally gets one he like to make sure that we notice what he has done and always leaves the gofer where we can find it. Last week I went out to feed him and he was sitting next to his bowl so proud of what he accomplished.

Addison has a nice little cottage cheese bum! I tried to get a good picture of it before bath time...

She got to tired standing and decided it would be better to sit on the cabinet.

Addison has also discovered how much fun her exersaucer is! She loves talking to her sun!

Last Friday we went over and played with Kanyon. Most of the time when we see him they are not awake at the same time. Friday we managed to capture the 10 minutes that they were both awake and not eating! Jaymie and I had a hard time getting both of them to smile but I finally got a picture! Aren't they cute! They're great friends, can't you tell!!

On another note, please be praying for my "friend" (who doesn't want people to know who she is), next Monday she is going in to have a biopsy of her cervix to check for cervical cancer. She's very nervous. I'm not sure what all to ask prayers for... most of all please just pray that God uses this opportunity to show himself to her and for her to see what an amazing and comforting God he is. Pray that she will finally see Him and realize that she was made to be with Him and He wants nothing more than a relationship with her.
