Was it Worth it??

So what did we do this weekend? Here are a few clues...

Yeah... that's right. We played in a flag football tournament in Allen. Several weeks ago we had decided to go and see Cassy, Chad and Cohen on Jan. 30 so we could watch Chad coach. About 2 hours after we decided that Chad called and said we needed to come that weekend because their church was having a flag football tournament. Christopher was SUPER excited. I was excited to watch and take pictures. Then... Cassy emailed me and said they were having a girls league also. So... after her signing me up without me knowing it I was the QB for the "artificial limbs!" I was glad she didn't really give me a chance to say no!

This picture I LOVE of Cassy blocking. When I first showed her, we cracked up (as much as we could without hurting). When I showed Chad all he said was "know wonder the other team didn't like y'all." But I like Cassy's point. She was TRYING to keep her hands closed to not pull on the girl, plus with girls its not as easy to "block with extended hands," you kind of feeling like you are violating the other person if you do. Yeah, their rules were a little more lax then ACU rules. Hence a fight in the men's rec league, and someone getting kicked out of the men's champ league!

Just me running, and Kat, my AMAZING running back blocking for me!
Cassy cheering me on!

As you can see, the Artificial Limbs are holding up a #1! That's right... we WON! There were only 3 teams and we had to play the purple team (Tough Almighty Princesses) twice. Really 2 1/2 times since our last game went into 4 over times! WE were SOOO tired. If we had lost we would have had to play them for a 3rd times and none of us had ANYTHING left. We were pretty excited to win, but more excited for it to be OVER!

How we really felt after the games were over. It's not an exaggeration... I fell asleep on the couch as soon as we put abc in bed at 7:30, then I got up and went to bed at 8:30. What an exciting guest I was huh!

Chris and Chad in their backfield.

Chad looks so serious

Buddy time on the field!!

HE looks so sad. This was in their last game (their 4th game of the day). The boys got 3rd place!

LOVE this picture of one of his touchdowns. Seriously, I'm not sure how he hasn't bitten off his tongue... but the saddest thing about this picture - look at his shirt... his GSP shirt. I told him that it would get ripped if he wore it he didn't care as much as I did. He said "I'll just have to have Ricky get me a new one!"

Chad is so serious.

The four of us after it was ALL OVER!! The soreness had already set in, and is actually still in! Christopher said he hurt worse than he did after his marathon. If there had been a video camera on us for the last several days it would be sooo funny to watch was try and do normal things with legs that barely work. Great news though... today I could get my left leg in the car without having to pull it up with my arms!

In case you were wondering what we did with the kids while we were playing... Big T and Carla, Chad's parents, came down from Gainesville to watch everyone play and help with the kids! They had so much fun! Carla, THANK YOU so much! Tell Big T Addison picked up a million little sticks in our front yard Sunday and kept saying "tick" and bring them to us!

Wanted to give a shout out to Big T! He volunteered the last game while Carla had the kids at Chad and Cassy's (asleep!!)

Now... for what some of you really want to see...

future models? Don't they look good!!

Cohen really liked the pink sunglasses!!

Check out that jump shot. Only 17 months old, you should see how well he can shoot and throw, UNBELIEVABLE!!

Close up of Cohen telling us who was #1!

Sharing was not their forte this weekend. Cohen was getting in trouble for hitting Addison and telling her NO when she was trying to get in front of him on the slide. I laughed when he did it... sorry Chad.

Cohen wanted up and Addison wanted down... it ended with Cohen at the top and Addison screaming.

See what I mean about sharing!!

Who's mohawk is better??
All in all it was a great weekend! I'm still debating on whether or not the soreness was worth the football fun... I'm leaning towards the yes side!

January Review...

Tonight I was talking to my mom and she asked what I did today, I said "What didn't I do!" So she said "oh, so you updated your blog." Ummm... thanks mom for calling me out. Now I'm updating! Since its been so long, I'm just going to do a review of what we did in January!

The weekend after New Years we headed up to Mimi's Lake House. Mark and Christopher had decided a while back they wanted to go and planned a weekend without the kids! So.. since we had no kids, it meant that Jaymie, Kory and Kanyon could come too! It was so much. Relaxing, playing nertz, eating and doing a whole lot of nothing. It was wonderful!!

My mom gave Addison this with her Christmas stuff. Its a boa like clip/bow. She loves to wear it! I cracks me up when she goes over to the shelf and tries to put it on herself!

One night she decided to wear her sunglasses! Usually she won't wear them unless she is outside and it's sunny but for some reason she wouldn't take them off this night. Today she kept asking for her glasses while we were in Academy and was trying to dig in her diaper bag to find them. So go MAD when I told her they were not in there, so she took mine!!

She loves to wear Christophers UnderArmor toboggan, unless your from Canada and then it's Christophers tuque! (yeah, I had to look up how to spell that -- I had tooke)

Just an awesome sunrise one morning.

MLK WEEKEND 2009! I'm not sure what girls trip # this is, but it was fun. We went to Paris to Jaymie's parents. We relaxed and Jaymie could be somewhat not a mom so we all had fun!
This is the only picture with everyone that was there!

Gay bought us all pajama pants! We got to pick our own and it turned out that the 750 EN 12th girls all got the same ones!

Addison was trying to be like Christopher and blow bubbles in the water bottle. She had a little trouble. Ended up with the water all over it, but it was fun!

My little ham!!

Last week when it was 75 degrees we went to kidsview park to play. ABC had a lot of fun. I thought this picture was funny, with her glowing hair! My dad always called my little sisters hair a "rats nest," abc's hair is somewhat like hers. Now I guess my little monster also has a rats nest!

I love pictures of her running! She thought she wanted to swing, but the second I put her in one she would try to climb out!

The girl LOVED the slide, especially once I took her shoes off and she could go fast and not get stopped in the middle of the slide. She wouldn't let me take her picture while she was on the slide though. This was the only face she would give me. She's actually been giving me this face a lot lately, I'm not a big fan of it!
This past weekend I went and stayed with my sister in Fort Worth. We had fun... actually I was a little stressed because abc was not being the greatest. Oh well.
This weekend we are going to be reliving the old college glory days, for Chris anyways - I was always beat by those sticking EOX's!! ;o) how are we going to be reliving these great times you ask... well, stay tuned, hopefully we'll have good pictures to come (as long as no one gets hurt!)

More Christmas... and other things...

Now I'll be caught up on blogs...

Addison was so excited about her water baby she thought Chris was taking too long, so she wanted to help!

Trying to give her baby a bath.

"I don't know what to do. How do I wash a baby?"

Playing in her kitchen from Nonna and Grandad. Thanks Honey for the GREAT Christmas pjs.

Riding the horse. It is supposed to be hooked up to a video game. We haven't made it that far, she is just figuring out you have to jump on this horse and not rock.

Helping Grandad. I think that she's going to be like me... a little bit of a Miss Fix It!

After lunch Addison wanted to watch Baby Einstein. I thought Chris and Russ where watching her... this is what I found! Great job guys!!

New Years Eve the Porter's came over for dinner. We decided all the kids needed a bath so they all jumped in. I tried to get a picture of all of them smiling, two out of three's not bad. Then about 5 seconds after this one...

Oops. Well, the crying didn't last long. I like Blake's expression in this picture "What happened?"

Yogurt time! It's so hard to keep her hands out of the cup...
LOVE it when she rubs it all over her face. Can you see how nasty her hands are?

Ummm... if she's laying on the kitchen floor do you think it's time for her morning nap? And yes, we stay in our jammies until after our morning nap!!

Update and Christmas(es) with the Siglers!

Cousin Tara got ABC these pj's for Christmas. WE LOVE THEM! and I love her curls in this picture!

Longview's Santa was a little creepy looking this year. I don't blame ABC for trying to get out of there!

Christopher and I were not sure that we were going to make it to College Station for Christmas. So, the Saturday before they came up to have Christmas with us!

Addison needed Pappy to help her feed her babies with her new bottle from Honey and Pappy!

She also needed a little help from Honey. She would go back and forth between the two of them.
Pappy took her out to play on the trampoline, she LOVES playing on the trampoline.

Love this one since you can see my dad in the middle of playing peek-a-boo!!

Pappy told her "no!" What a sad face... I mean look at that lip. Are we in trouble or what!!! (She was trying to eat a wet leaf off of her slide!)

A little "bop"ing to Little Bunny Foo Foo, her new favorite song!

Watching Baby Einstein on her little DVD player from Christopher's parents. It's suppose to be "indestructible" but when there is no HOLD or LOCK button little fingers can always press stop or pause.

We ended up being able to go to College Station when the rest of my family was there. We went Tuesday and came back on Wednesday. I was so glad! I love seeing my siblings!

While we were there, we got out presents in the mail from my Grandma in Missouri. There were lots of peanuts with the presents so of course we had to play in them!

The playing ABC enjoyed the most was in Mary Beth's truck!

Driving with Rachel.

Giving Haygen some love! Mark named his dog Haygen so he could call her "hay" for short...

We came back quickly from College Station and had our Christmas at our house before heading to Elysian Fields on Christmas day.

Addison got a water baby and a wall aqua doodle from Santa. My sister got her a bubble machine for the bath tub. So... Christmas Eve Addison had some GREAT bath time!!

ABC trying to find her baby in all the bubbles!!
Love these bubbles! Always get stuck on her head and she thinks it's so funny!
