Long two weeks!

These last two weeks have felt like a big blurr. I'll tell the stories in pictures...

Two weeks ago I told Christopher that before Addison went to bed I wanted to lower her crib because I felt like very soon she would be pulling up on it. Well, I'm glad we did. Wednesday after she stopped crying I thought that she had fallen asleep so I went in to check on her, this is what I found when I opened the door.

Thursday March 27 - We started out the even going to Kanyon's birthday party. It was fun! Lots of people there that have watched the Grand Kanyon grow so much!

After that we started on our 17 hour 800 mile trek to Missouri and back! My Grandma had not met Addison and Christopher wanted to go see his buddy Craig so we thought we would make a long weekend out of it. We knew that it was going to be a 7 hour drive to Moody (where my Grandma lives) so we wanted to drive it at night so Addison would sleep the whole time and we wouldn't throw off her schedule too much. I had the first shift of driving, if I didn't then I would have fallen asleep and never woken up! I drove from 9:00p - 1:30 am! I was a trooper if I must say so myself! Christopher drove all the twisty roads in Arkansas/Missouri. We arrived at Grandma's at 3:45 am. She was so excited to meet Addison!

Catching a little nap with her great grandmother! She slept for two hours like this!

Picture with the three of us (Mom and Mel, you can also see my new short hair!!)

Getting a little love from Aunt Kathy!!

After we left Grandma's we drove to Ava to stay with Craig. He had proposed to Nadine the night before! It was a good time! I did have my first ice cream in 6 1/2 months while we were there, and it only cost me 10 cents! They had this pharmacy there that still had ice cream for the same price as when they opened, 5 cents!. So I had to get 2 scoops!! Then as nice as I am I offered to pay for Nadine's as well. It was hard coming up with that 15 cents, but we managed!

Here's Addison with Uncle Craig (as requested to be called by Craig) and Nadine!

We were trying to get Addison to ride Sophie!

Group picture before everyone left Ava on Sunday!! It was a long trip home, 8.5 hours! We finally made it at 12:01 am on Monday, March 31. It was a long weekend, but a worth while weekend!

As you can see I look a little sad in this picture! If you paid attention in the section you would notice that I had ice cream... yes, that means I am done with pumping. I couldn't take it anymore and it's over. I'm glad, but at the same time I'm a little sad. So the above picture is from Tuesday. Addison is drinking that last few sips of the frozen breast milk. I almost cried, I felt terrible, like I gave up on her. But, as Jaymie (and Gay) reassured me the week before I had endured and dealt with enough and made it longer than most people in the problems that I had. I have to remember the terrible, painful, tearful times and remember why I had to quit.

Wednesday Addison had her 6 month check up, about 3 weeks late. We had to stop by Daddy's office a little before, as always Addison went straight for the calculator, I think we may have another CPA on our hands!

Jaymie, I thought that you might enjoy this. Addison LOVED the turtle on the wall!

The following are just some cute pictures I took of her Friday while she was scooting, crawling around.

This past weekend we went to the Lake House with Kallen, Kelsey, Russ and Kim. We never got a group picture, but it was a good weekend!
Addison enjoyed her bath in the sink. I forgot her bathtub... oops!!

This one I like to call... "Mini Me!" You can't deny that she's a Collier especially when she takes pictures with her grandad!

Well, it was a long post, but that's how the last two weeks have been. Not to mention we started reach groups again at our house! I enjoy having the youth group kids over though. Addison is warming up to some of them!

Maybe next time I won't wait so long to post, we'll see!
